Farm News
It is so busy here these days! We are harvesting a lot of tomatoes for our wholesale customers right now - that is our farm's main income for the year. We have planted more crops for the september and october boxes. The sweet potatoes and strawberries are coming soon too! We have a lot of fields to clean up now and reseed with a fall cover crop. We are planning on having another Fall CSA Family Farm Day - we will let you know the dates for that next week.
We hope that you are enjoying the vegetables and in a few more boxes we will be back to leafy greens again - so put the tomatoes you can't eat in a week up in a sauce or salsa and if you need more we have 25# boxes of organic tomatoes and peppers for canning for $12/bx!!
The cooking classes were fun and we will have more the end of september and into october!
Anyways, the days are long and busy here so I will be back to the markets in September when things slow down.....meanwhile Quenton (my brother) and Nicholus will be helping me out. I miss seeing all of you and discussing your ventures with your CSA boxes but I will be back before long - until then please email me your questions and concerns....thanks! ~ Amanda
